The new BMW X3 exemplifies excellence, justifying the brand’s confident claim of

superior sporting appeal, visual impact, and versatility. This fourth-generation Sports

Activity Vehicle (SAV) for the premium midsize segment combines dynamic design,

advanced technology, and enhanced performance, making it ideal for daily use, leisure,

and long-distance travel.

The exterior features a bold new design language with a prominent BMW kidney grille,

optional Iconic Glow contour lighting, and adaptive LED headlights with non-dazzling

matrix high beam. The sporty silhouette is accentuated by bold side skirts and a rear

roof spoiler, with exhaust tailpipes discreetly integrated (except in the X3 M50 xDrive).

Available in one solid and eight metallic paint shades, including Dune Grey metallic, the

X3 also offers BMW Individual finishes. Standard wheels range from 19 to 20 inches,

with 21-inch options available.

Inside, the cabin blends modern aesthetics with robust functionality. The BMW Curved

Display, Interaction Bar, and flat-bottomed steering wheel create a driver-focused

environment. High-quality materials, such as standard Econeer upholstery made from

recycled materials, and optional Veganza or Merino leather, enhance the premium

ambience. The innovative Luxury instrument panel, crafted from recycled polyester,

improves heat dissipation. Load capacity ranges from 570 to 1,700 liters (460–1,600

liters for the 30e xDrive).

The powertrain lineup includes efficient petrol and diesel engines and a plug-in hybrid

system in the BMW X3 30e xDrive, offering an electric range of 81–90 km (WLTP). The X3

M50 xDrive, with a 293 kW six-cylinder engine and mild hybrid technology, achieves 0–

100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. All models feature an eight-speed Steptronic transmission

and optional M Sport or adaptive suspension for enhanced agility and comfort.

Advanced digitalization includes BMW iDrive with QuickSelect on Operating System 9,

enabling intuitive touch and voice control. Standard features encompass three-zone

climate control, BMW Live Cockpit Plus, and semi-automated driving systems like Lane

Departure Warning. Optional packages, such as BMW Digital Premium, add enhanced

navigation, streaming, and gaming.

Built in Spartanburg, USA, and Rosslyn, South Africa, with a focus on sustainability, the

X3 continues its legacy as a segment leader, delivering exceptional value through

quality and innovation.

BMW X3 has also won the acclaimed SA COTY car of the year

award for 2025. That says it all.
